A Musical Manga Weekend!

Ok, so this is my post all about the lovely weekend I had last week, when my dear friend David from California came to visit me and we went shopping!

I had a long week at work (you can read more about my first few weeks in my new job here), and picked him up from the station on Friday afternoon. He was over from the US to work on his debut album with his producer, so we arranged to meet up! It was really fun to hang out with him, because he is a very talented musician, and I am also a singer too. So we had fun sharing ideas and doing some writing together! He even taught me how to rap! Something I never thought I'd do.

Then on Saturday, I took him out shopping with me to show him a little of my home town. We visited a really nice (very posh) cafe where I had a yummy cup of tea and this beautiful fruit tart!

I also decided to take him to one of my favourite stores Forbidden Planet. It sells all sorts of Cult and Okatu type products. We had a good look at the anime and I managed to control stop myself from buying these cute Sailor Moon manga books (I needed to buy shoes for work so couldn't splurge too much! Next time though I am totally buying these!)

I love Chibi moon she is so adorable!
I had to try SO hard not to buy these!

Sailor Venus Figure!!! <3 Again... I may buy this when I get my first pay cheque.
A small section of the amazing manga.

When I had finished my shopping, which included this super cute My Melody Hello Kitty plushie, we went and had a meal at the local pub (sorry no pics), and talked about all sorts of music related things! Then proceeded home to do some lyric writing and record part of a song together for the rest of the evening! When it's finished, I will share it with you all! Hehe!

Sadly, the next day (Sunday) David had to be on his way again back to carry on his recording with his producer. He we are at the train station!

Hahaha I love this picture because I have no idea what I'm saying and David just looks like the coolest dude chillin in a perfect pose!

Anyway! He was on this way and that was the end of my exciting and musical weekend.

Hopefully, David and I will be working together in the near future to create songs together, he is really very talented and if you would like to check out his music check out his Facebook Page!

Thanks for reading! Check back soon!
