So a personal post. I really enjoyed this day out in Barmouth so I decided to write about it.
Rich (my partner) and I decided that because the weather forecast was so great and we both had the Sunday off, we'd drive to Barmouth for a day at the beach!
Sadly we didn't leave as early as we'd hoped, and we got stuck in traffic due to a huge charity biking Talley, but we arrived in Barmouth just before lunch time. Of course upon arrival, we got some fish and chips. I couldn't get over how fresh and tasty the fish was (I love fish), and Rich was asking fun of me for repeating the phrase ... "wow so fresh!". Haha I did say it quite a few times.
After spending forever deciding where to sit, we found our spot on the sand and relaxed in the glorious sun! The wind meant we had to face away otherwise we got a mouth full of the stuff, but it was gorgeous none the less.
After a tough few months a day to get away was refreshing. I'd love to make time to do it more. Lying on the sand, looking up at the blue sky it's hard to feel bad about anything at all. Escaping our every day lives is a blessing, but I soon hope to build a routine, that I don't want to escape from so much. Most of that, will be change happening on the inside.
Just being in a beautiful place with someone I love so much was good for my soul. I didn't go in the sea... which I regret a bit now but next time for sure! We also planned to come back to a restaurant we passed on the way home. Sadly we were stuck in traffic and had to grab fast food!
Now two weeks later we've finally stopped finding sand in shoes, bags and clothing haha! I'm hoping for the summer to be long and bright this year so we can definitely spend more quality time at the beech.
Life is short and you have to bathe in the sunshine every chance you get!
